The tiny white pills looked so innocuous. My doctor said that they’d pull me out of my funk. Like the wind, they’re able to blow away the fog, revealing a clear, blue sky. Like the sun, their powerful rays can pierce through any haze, dissipating the phenomenon that obscured my clarity.
But after 2 weeks of taking them, I felt worse. I had a heartburn, constipation and dry mouth. I felt dizzy, sleepy and generally out of sorts. I wanted to stop taking them, but my doctor said to give them a couple of more weeks. He said that the side effects would go away. They didn’t.
